ISLANDS OF SILENCE
ZONE 03
SMUGGLER's cave
Located to the left of No Man's Land, the Smuggler's Cave serves as an open-air stronghold that immediately introduces a vertical approach to combat and exploration. Players can either enter through the main access point or climb above the cave to gain a clear view of the area below.
Verticality defines the entire encounter. Entering the cave directly places the player in a vulnerable position, surrounded by enemies and exposed to incoming fire. In contrast, securing the high ground provides a tactical advantage, allowing threats to be observed and eliminated before engaging at close range. This section reinforces the importance of infiltration, positioning, and environmental awareness, while teaching players that controlling elevation is often the key to survival throughout the archipelago.
